Emilia Gracia is a lead international educator in Global Launch, Arizona State University’s entrepreneurial platform for global language training. Emilia is passionate about global educational development and works on projects with universities, governments, and businesses to improve English language learning. She also created and instructs a Chinese course for Spanish speakers on the Coursera platform and has taught Spanish in a variety of settings.

Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Emilia has a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor’s degree in education from La Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Rebecca LaPlante

Rebecca LaPlante has been an International Educator for over 10 years. She holds a Master's of Arts for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the renowned Monterey Institute of International Studies, a Graduate School of Middlebury College. She has taught business professionals in France and throughout Europe English Communication in the workplace and tourism professionals in Egypt. Most recently, she taught in the Intensive English Program at Arizona State University specializing in academic writing skills. Ms. LaPlante also taught International Teaching Assistant seminars for English and teaching skills, along with serving on the ASU ITA evaluation panel. Ms. LaPlante’s skills go beyond teaching, as she is a recognized assessment specialist who has presented at the Arizona regional TESOL conference and the Classroom Assessment for Language Teaching conference at the University of Arizona.
